A study on the extraction of Am3+ by TRPO and it's cooperative extraction with DHDECMP

Description
The extraction behavior of Am3+ in trialkylphosphie oxide (TRPO)-xylene/HNO3 and the stripping conditions are studied. The cooperative extraction with TRPO-DHDECMP is also investigated. The results show that TRPO is an excellent extractant for Am3+ in nitric acid of low concentration and Am3+ can be stripped readily with DTPA-lactate at pH = 5. No synergistic effects are observed with TRPO-DHDECMP mixture in the experiment
