Protection of the atmosphere during power generation in nuclear power stations

Description
Gases released during the operation of a nuclear power plants consist mainly of nitrogen with additives consisting of water vapor, hydrogen, radioactive noble gases, and iodine compounds. The basic functions of some methods of gas and air purification used in nuclear power plants are described. (RB/LN)

Die beim Betrieb einer Reaktoranlage frei werdenden Gase bestehen vorwiegend aus Stickstoff mit einem Zusatz aus Wasserdampf, Wasserstoff, radioaktiven Edelgasen und Jodverbindungen. Einige der in Kernkraftwerken benutzten Verfahren der Reinigung von Gasen und Luft werden in ihrer grundsaetzlichen Funktionsweise kurz beschrieben. (RB)Additional details
