Suppression of F-center accumulation by high power electron beam in KCl-KH crystals
- 1. Tomskij Politekhnicheskij Inst., Tomsk (USSR)
Description
The distribution of F-centres along electron path in KCl and KCl-KH has been measured by the method of microphotometry. For KCl it agrees with LET, for KCl-KH considerable nonlinearity between F-centre concentration and LET is detected. It is ascertained that the effect is related to the phonomenon of F-centre suppression by hydrogen. The dependence of kF on electron beam intensity and hydrogen content in the sample is investigated. The conclusion is made that a high degree of excitations of 104 Gy order is required for F-centre destruction by hydrogen
