Description
The properties of amorphous superconducting materials are outlined and discussed. The microscopic origin of superconductivity is examined. The microscopic theory is outlined and compared with experimental data. Simple metals and transition metals are treated. The influence of disorder on the thermodynamic characteristics of the superconducting state is described within the framework of the Ginzburg-Landau theory.
