The Heidelberg polarized heavy ion source

Description
The new polarized source at the Heidelberg MP tandem is described. Measurements of beams polarization for 7Li at 44 MeV and 23Na at 110 MeV are presented. Optical pumping as a method of producing high polarization is discussed. (author)
