Description

After a recall of the origin, motivations, and development planning of electric power production from nuclear origin in France, and a recall of some notions (radioactivity, fission, period or half-life, enrichment, reprocessing, nuclear economy), the author states and outlines that nuclear energy is a dirty one, that phasing out nuclear guarantees energy independence and is a job resource, that subcontractors should be better taken into account, that phasing out nuclear makes money and is a progress, that renewable alternatives are beneficial for territories, and are able to compensate nuclear energy production, that the nuclear sector is not really a flagship, that to maintain nuclear is a financial disaster, that it is technically possible to dismantle plants, that nuclear is intrinsically dangerous, that the nuclear energy cost is increased by pharaonic projects like EPRs, that energy transition will generate thousands of jobs, that adopting renewable energies means sovereignty and respect of other people, responsibility with respect to future generations, that reducing energy produces results in a better comfort. He discusses how to convince people living at the vicinity of nuclear plants and working in them, and whether there is an energy resource which is sufficient in terms of production and without environmental effects, outlines that nuclear is anti-democratic, discusses the issues of nuclear wastes, and supports a multi-lateral nuclear disarmament.
