Radiotherapy of malignant lymphomas of the orbit

Description
Eight cases of malignant lymphomas of the orbit are presented: seven patients had a primary extralymphatic infestation of the orbit and one patient suffered from leukemia with secondary infiltration into the orbit. The authors discuss the therapy planning including computed tomography as well as the dosage which depends on the degree of malignancy, and the irradiation method. Computed tomography was found to be essential for an individual therapy planning and the further therapy control. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
In einer Kasuistik werden 8 Faelle von malignen Lymphomen der Orbita vorgestellt: 7 Patienten mit primaerem extralymphatischen Orbitabfall, 1 Patient mit sekundaerer Orbitainfiltration bei Leukaemie. Es wird die Bestrahlungsplanung einschliesslich Computertomographie sowie die Dosierung in Abhaengigkeit vom Malignitaetsgrad und die Bestrahlungstechnik besprochen. Die Computertomographie erwies sich fuer die individuelle Bestrahlungsplanung und die weitere Therapieverlaufskontrolle als aeusserst wichtig. (orig.)Additional details
