Description

The path integral of nonlinear scalar field theory is viewed as the stationary distribution of a stochastic process. This approach allows for the rigorous, nonperturbative, and relatively painless derivation of upper and lower bounds on some coincidence point moments. These estimates provide some insight into the nature of the notion of ''perturbative renormalizability'' in quantum field theory without direct reference to perturbation theory. (author). 17 refs
