Nucleus-Σ potential
Description
Double-differential cross section for the in-flight 208Pb(K-,π+) reaction is investigated theoretically in the framework of the distorted-wave impulse approximation by using the Green's-function method. The difference in the reaction cross sections is clearly seen between a phenomenological nucleus-Σ- potential which reproduces Σ- atom data and a folding potential with a repulsive bump near the nuclear surface which is constructed from the realistic ΣN interaction
