Factors controlling the rate of production of cosmogenic radionuclides are discussed and the effect of atmospheric circulations on their concentration at ground level is considered. Relationships between the variation of cosmogenic radionuclides in the lower atmosphere and the El-Nino phenomenon and ozone concentrations are considered. (author)
