Sum rules and transition densities of isoscalar dipole resonances
- 1. Tashkentskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Tashkent (USSR)
Description
The transition densities and the form factors of isoscalar dipole resonances of the16O, 40Ca, and 208Pb nuclei are calculated with the help of the sum rules and are compared with the electron scattering data. For the 16O and 40Ca nuclei the contribution of the 1-, T-0 resonance into the sum rules is, correspondingly, 6 and 12%. The radiation widths of these resonances are defined to be 103-104 times smaller than the radiation widths of the 1-, T=1 resonances. The evaluation of the polarizability of these nuclei shows their proximity to the polarizability of the free nucleon
