Description
The full electron temperature (Te) and density (ne) profiles in the H-mode plasmas are measured precisely with a TV Thomson scattering system. The temperature gradient at the edge in the H-mode is 5-6 times higher than that of the L-mode phase. The electron temperature scale length (LTe) is equal to the density scale length (Lne) at the beginning of the H-mode phase, and LTe-1 is larger than Lne-1 in the H-mode phase, which is contrary to that of the ohmic heating. LTe and Lne of the ELMy H-mode are longer than that of the ELM-free H-mode. (orig.)
