Summary of the RAS specialist discussion meeting on 'The Galactic Centre'

Description
The present knowledge of the centre of our Galaxy is reviewed, with estimates of our distance from the centre, using OH-IR masers. Included also is a discussion of the detailed structure of the central regions, calling on work carried out in the X-ray and infrared regions of the spectrum. (UK)
