Description

The solutions of the Schrödinger equation for the Manning–Rosen plus inversely quadratic Yukawa potential under the influence of external magnetic and Aharonov–Bohm (AB) flux fields were investigated using the Nikiforov–Uvarov functional analysis method. In closed form, the energy eigenvalues and eigenfunctions were obtained. The numerical energy spectra, partition function, and other thermo-magnetic properties such as free energy, mean energy, entropy, magnetization, magnetic susceptibility, and persistence current at zero and finite temperatures of the TiH, LiH, CrH, and CO diatomic molecules were determined, explicitly. The results show that temperature alters the phase of magnetic susceptibility of the selected diatomic molecules from diamagnetic to paramagnetic. Similarly, the combined effects of magnetic and AB flux fields removed degeneracy from the system's energy spectrum. We also obtained the energy equation for the special cases and compared it with other studies to authenticate the mathematical accuracy of our analytical calculations. These findings have the potential application in condensed matter physics, atomic physics, molecular physics, and chemical physics. (author)
