Calculation of Judd-Ofelt intensity paramaters (T sub(lambda)) in some Nd(III) complexes by using the statistical method
Description
The statistical method for calculating Tsub(lambda)-parameters has been described in detail. The symmetry of the complexes has been discussed on the basis of T4/T6 ratio. A relation Pproportional to vT6 (or Pproportional to vT4) has been suggested in comparison to Pproportional to vb2 for hypersensitive transitions observed in the lanthanide complexes. The applicability of the theory as well as the statistical method used for calculating electronic spectral parameters (Tsub(lambda), Esub(k) and zetasub(4f)) has been established from rms deviation point of view. The statistical method suggested in the paper is an alternative to a computer programming method. (author)
