Description

The AMY detector at the TRISTAN e+e- storage ring has now acquired data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 14 pb-1 at values of √s from 50 to 56 GeV. For the purely electroweak processes, e+e- → e+e-, γγ, μ+μ-, and τ+τ- we compare the data with the standard model and find no discrepancies. We also present data on the hadronic events containing a μ± or e±, and from these events we place limits on the production of quarks with a new flavor. Whereas at the highest PETRA energies Mark J observed a few events with low thrust and an isolated muon, such events are not evident in the much larger AMY sample
