Development and production of fuel elements for the BOR-60 fast research reactor

Description

The main activities in studies resulted in development of the fuel elements for the BOR-60 reactor are briefly discussed. The collaborators from the Russian Research Institute of Nonorganic Materials, Special Design Bureau GIDROPRESS and the Russian Federation State Scientific Center Physical and Energy Institute took part in the work. It is emphasized that putting into operation of the BOR-60 research reactor ensured the capabilities for supporting the BN-type fast reactor serviceability

Рассмотрены основные направления исследований, результатом которых явилась разработка твэлов для реактора БОР-60. В работе принимали участие сотрудники ВНИИНМ, ОКБ ГИДРОПРЕСС и ГНЦ РФ ФЭИ. Подчеркивается, что введение в строй исследовательского реактора БОР-60 обеспечило возможность обоснования работоспособности реакторов на быстрых нейтронах типа БН
