Methodological experiences with the use of sup(15)N stable isotope indication in the study of the material transport of Lake Balaton

Description
The denitrification activity which plays an important role in the self-purifying process and is responsible for the water quality of Lake Balaton was studied by stable sup(15)N tracing. Methods found in the literature were adapted to conditions typical of the Balaton region. A laboratory process of comparative value and one close to natural conditions, utilizable in field experiments, furthermore a method for sample preparation are described. (author)
