Reprocessing method for desalting device
Description
Mixed resins in a desalting tower of a condensate desalting device in a BWR-type nuclear power plant are transported to a cationic resin reprocessing tower, back washed, stood stationary and then separated. An anion exchange resin on the upper layer is transported to an anion resin reprocessing tower, and the resin of the mixed layer and a cation exchanger resin of the under layer are transported to the desalting tower. The anion exchanger resin is transported from the anion resin reprocessing tower to the cation resin reprocessing tower, and back washed again and stood stationary. A predetermined amount of the anion exchange resin on the upper side is transported to the anion resin reprocessing tower, and an anion reprocessing agent (NaOH) is passed therethrough for a reprocessing treatment. The reprocessed anion exchange resin and the cation exchange resin in the desalting tower (containing an anion exchange resin present together) are returned to the cation resin reprocessing tower, mixed, and then, transported to the desalting tower. With such procedures, the life of the ion exchange resins is extended to reduce the volume of radioactive wastes. (I.N.)
