Calculations of ground-state properties of liquid 4He droplets

Description
Quantum mechanical calculations of the ground states of droplets of N atoms of 4He are reported. The calculations have been made by the variational Monte Carlo Method for 4< or =N< or =728 and by the Green's function Monte Carlo method for 3< or =N< or =112. The energies, rms radii, and density distributions are reported; liquid-drop fits to the energies and radii are discussed
