ISI procedure structure
Description
The purpose is to define all activities of WWER-1000 RPV shell weld 3 and adjacent base material ultrasonic examination as well as to determine ultrasonic system which includes equipment, procedure and personnel; to satisfy the WWER-1000 RPV Main Designer requirements for detection and sizing the flaws important for a vessel integrity; describes the equipment, sensitivity adjustment, data acquisition and analysis requirements for mechanized PSI/ISI of the WWER-1000 RPV shell welds. The requirements for equipment, and personnel, and specific requirements (RPV material, thickness range, clad surface and type, thickness and acceptable roughness etc.) are presented. The system characterization, establishment of examination sensitivity, examination and data evaluation are also discussed
