Effect of temperature on adhesion interaction of polycrystallic diamond and elboron contacting with metals
Description
The adhesive interaction of polycrystalline diamonds and elbore with pure metals such as Fe, Ni, Ti, Mo, Cu and Ag serving as a base of common industrial alloys under model conditions is studied. Metallic adhesion has been studied as per methods adopted previously with respect to monocrystals of natural diamond. This has been necessitated by the comparison of behaviour of new materials with that of natural diamonds and other materials tested previously. The adhesive properties of polycrystalline diamond in case of a contact with the metals tested prove to be close to those of natural diamond. The adhesive characteristics of polycrystalline elbore are expressed less distinctly in case of interaction with the same metals. The adhesive interaction of elbore with certain metals starts at higher temperatures than with diamond
