Assessment of large-scale, in-vessel, steam explosions

Creators

Description

This paper describes an approach to estimating the probability of damaging in-vessel steam explosions, which produces a greater transparency of structure and argument than can be found with other schemes and significantly reduces the difficulty of properly accounting for uncertainty. The physical modelling and probabilistic machinery is outlined, and a brief account given of progress achieved to date. (author)
