Radioiodination of 131I-boronophenylalanine and its biodistribution for BNCT

Description

BPA has been used for BNCT of malignant glioma or melanoma. To see the biodistribution of BPA, ICP-AES or PGNAA are used. We labeled BPA with 125I, 123I and 131I for in vivo quantitation of BPA in BNCT, and tumor imaging with gamma camera. 125I-BPA accumulated in tumor, and tumor to background ratio was 1.76 in 24 hours after injection. 125I-BPA was excreted via biliary system and kidney
