A Model for Simulating Realistic Profiles of Pulsars

  • 1. National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Pune (India)
  • 2. Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore (India)

Description

We devise an accurate method to compute the emission profile corresponding to a given set of pulsar emission parameters, for eg. inclination angle α, impact angle β, frequency of emission ω, Lorentz factor γ, and pulsar spin-period P. The intensity of emission is simulated, and compared with the observed profiles.
