Description
SAFARI-1 is a tank-in-pool type material testing reactor (MTR) operated by the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation SOC Ltd (Necsa). The reactor model and calculational scenarios described in this benchmark specification provide the information needed to simulate, with a variety of tools and approaches, and to a variety of levels in accuracy and complexity, the multi-cycle operation of the SAFARI-1 nuclear research reactor. Data provided spans the operating period of the reactor from the beginning to the end of 2012. (author)
