The influence of fluid-induced stress on valves design
Description
Loop trials on a cut-off valves of a given type and subject to heavy stress due to the considerable pressure difference on each side, together with experience of valvegear over several years, provide material for a hypothetical case, by means of which failures occurring with this equipment are examined. Analysis of the causes has led to various modifications in the design and manufacture of the valves

Des essais sur boucle d'un organe de sectionnement d'un type donne et soumis a des efforts importants du fait de la forte difference de pression amont-aval, ainsi qu'une experience de la robinetterie de plusieurs annees permettent de creer un cas hypothetique, a travers lequel on examine les incidents survenus a cet organe.
