Description
The problem of two dimensional free convection MHD flow of a viscous incompressible fluid between a long vertical wavy wall and a parallel flat wall is discussed. A uniform magnetic field is assumed to be applied perpendicular to the flat wall. The equations governing the fluid flow and heat transfer have been solved subject to a set of appropriate boundary conditions. It is assumed that the flow consists of two parts; a mean part and a perturbed part. To obtain the solution of the perturbed part, long wave approximation has been applied and to solve the mean part, the well known approximation used by Ostrach has been utilised. Expressions for the zeroth order and first order velocity, temperature, skin friction and heat transfer at the walls are obtained. Some of the results indicating the influence of magnetic field on velocity characteristics have been presented graphically. (author). 5 refs., 6 figs
