The emphasis that t was on the theoretical and mathematical of high energy physics; the next workshop to be held in Beijing in 1988 will have emphasis on the experimental and phenomenological aspects. The workshop was intended to introduce in a pedagogical manner the recent advances in superstrings, anomalies and field theory
