Results of 6th regular inspection of No. 3 plant in Fukushima No. 1 Nuclear Power Station, Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc

The 6th regular inspection of No.3 plant in the Fukushima No.1 Nuclear Power Station was carried out from September 3, 1983, to February 28, 1984, and the results of inspection were as follows. The facilities inspected were the nuclear reactor, reactor cooling system, measurement and control system, fuel facilities, radiation control facilities, waste facilities, reactor containment facilities and emergency generators. As the results of having carried out the inspection of external appearance, disassembling, leak, function, performance and others on the objects of inspection, any abnormality was not found. The works related to this regular inspection were carried out within the range of allowable dose based on the laws. The main reconstruction works carried out during the regular inspection were the reconstruction of the internal structures of No.2 feed water heater to reduce erosion, the exchange of No.4 bleed tubes, the loading of new 8x8 fuel assemblies, the exchange of jet pump beams with improved heat treatment and the change of the LP turbine rotor to a forging of one body type.
