Secretory potentialities of β-cells at early stages of diabetes mellitus

Description

Literature data on changes in the secretion of insulin at early stages of diabetes mellitus with evaluation of their activity are considered in the review. The dependence of the level of immunoreactive insulin (IRI) in blood and functional state of insular apparatus of the pancreas is shown. It is concluded that the analysis of insulin secretion and IRI dynamics permits to substantiate the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus
