Particle and energy confinement in Ohmically heated JET plasmas
- 1. Commission of the European Communities, Abingdon (UK). JET Joint Undertaking
Description
The particle and energy transport in Ohmically heated JET discharges has been analysed. The energy confinement time tausub(E) is found to increase with both plasma density n and safety factor q, with tausub(E) values in the range 0.1 to 0.6 s. At low density, the particle confinement time, tausub(p), increases with density, while for n-barsub(e) > or approx. 1.3x1019m-3 it decreases with density: the peak value is about 1 s. (author)
