Newman-Penrose conserved quantities in Born-Infeld electrodynamics
Description
The Newman-Penrose conserved quantities for the Born-Infield nonlinear electromagnetic theory and the Einstein-Born-Infeld theory are shown to be precisely the same as those for the Maxwell and Einstein-Maxwell theories respectively. It is suggested that this occurrence is due to the particular nature of the nonlinearity of the Born-Infeld field equations.
