A comparison of integral transport and diffusion theory methods in whole-core Triga calculations

Description
Whole-core calculations are carried out for ITU-TRIGA Mark-II Reactor, using both integral transport theory and diffusion theory. By comparing effective multiplication factors, flux distributions and average fuel-rod reactivity worths, the merit of diffusion theory, which have been traditionally used in whole-core calculations, is assessed.
