Study of the Weyl invariance in the generalized σ model for open strings

Description

In this thesis I have studied the Weyl anomaly of the generalized σ model for an open string. Beside excitations of the open string I coupled also excitations of the closed string as background fields. I have thereby confined to the tachyon and massless excitations. In the second part of this thesis I calculated the β function for a special example. I considered an open superstring in the background of a non-abelian gauge field. (orig./HSI)

In dieser Arbeit habe ich die Weyl-Anomalie des verallgemeinerten σ-Modells fuer einen offenen String untersucht. Neben Anregungen des offenen Strings koppelte ich auch Anregungen des geschlossenen Strings als Backgroundfelder an. Ich habe mich dabei auf die Tachyon- und masselosen Anregungen beschraenkt. Im zweiten Teil dieser Arbeit berechnete ich die β-Funktion fuer ein spezielles Beispiel. Ich betrachtete einen offenen Superstring im Background eines nichtabelschen Eichfeldes. (orig./HSI)
