Transmission eigenvalues for Maxwell's equations in isotropic absorbing media with frequency-dependent electrical parameters

  • 1. Dipartimento di Matematica, Università di Genova, Via Dodecaneso 35, 16146 Genova (Italy)

Description

We study the interior transmission problem for Maxwell's equations in isotropic absorbing media, taking into account the frequency dependence of the electrical parameters of the media. Using low-frequency estimates together with the Fredholm analytic theory, we prove the discreteness of transmission eigenvalues. (paper)
