Description
The extraction kinetics of uranium (VI) from nitric acid solution with N-octanoylpiperidine (OP) in toluene was investigated by means of stationary interface stirring cell. The experimental results show that the extraction process may be controlled by the following interface reaction: UO2 (NO3)+ + OP·HNO3(i) = UO2(NO3)2·OP(i) + H+. The effects of temperature, acidity and extractant concentration on the extraction rate were also discussed
