The generalized random phase approximation, as a coupled channel problem
Description
It is shown that the generalized random phase approximation of elastic scattering can be formulated as a coupled channel problem. Its relationship to the many-channel scheme, the close-coupled equations and the first-order many-body theory for inelastic scattering is also discussed.
