Synthesis and physicochemical investigation of palladium hexafluorocomplexes

  • 1. AN SSSR, Novosibirsk. Inst. Neorganicheskoj Khimii

Description

This paper deals with the results of studies on alkali hexafluoropalladates (IV) by different physico-chemical methods. For the first time hexafluoropalladates (IV) of alkali metals were synthesized using gaseous ClF3 as a fluorinating agent. The optimum temperatures of Me2PdF6 synthesis were determind by differential thermal analysis in the heterogeneous stationary systems: Me2PdCl6sub(sol) + F2(ClF3)sub(gas), where Me = K, Rb, Cs. A correlation was established between the fluorination initial temperatures and the kind of outer cation. The IR-study of the spectra obtained supports F19 NMR-data concerning the distortions of the octahedral complexe anions with d6-electronic configuration
