Security aspects and simulations of practical QKD platforms

Description

Full text: Main differences on realistic security aspects between general BB84 WCP QKD protocols and entangled QKD protocols are given. All simulations are driven by MATLAB application with a GUI for easy parameter changes. The application can be of help to see how the system performance changes with various realistic parameters, in both WCP and entangled pair implementations. (author)
