An Analytical Study on the Compton Wavelength
Description
Mathematically, the Compton wavelength λc of a particle is given by λc = h/mc, where h is the Planck constant, m is the particle's rest mass and c is the speed of light. For the electron as a reference constant, it is about 2.426x10-12 m, intermediate between the size of an atomic nucleus and an atom. The λc means a critical distance below which certain quantum mechanical effects take place for any particle. The energy of a photon of this wavelength is equal to the rest mass energy mc2 of an electron. Now, the λc is analytically reviewed
