Development of the X-ray high voltage generator of inverter design, UD series
- 1. Shimadzu Corp., Kyoto (Japan)
Description
The new X-ray high voltage generators with inverter technology 'UD150K, XUD150K, UD150B, XUD150B', have been developed. Compared with conventional 2 peak generators, the ripple of tube voltage is so small owing to the inverter technology that the output dose is increased and exposure time can be reduced. The exposure can be turned off at any time independent of power source phase, so the fluctuation of the dose is extremely smaller than that of the conventional 2 peak and 12 peak generators especially in case automatic exposure control is used. By the feedback control of tube voltage, high accuracy and reproducibility of output have been realized. The 16-bit microprocessor and the large plasma display built in the operator's console make these generators very intelligent. And easy operation has been achieved. (author)
