Description

More accurate measurement of gamma ray energies from 237Np* de-excitation following 241Am disintegration cancels out 770KeV level assignment and a 989.5keV [9/2 (505)] level proposition. Very fair agreement is found, for many levels, with 237Np(d,d') measurements. The 737.27+-0.05keV, 739.5keV and 801.90+-0.05keV gamma rays support 3/2, 5/2 and 7/2 [3/2(651)] levels in keeping with a A. Bohr and Mottelson reference. Moreover 887.65keV and 922.25keV levels are pointed out

Abstract (French)

Des mesures plus precises des energies gamma de desexcitation du 237Np* suivant la desintegration de 241Am annulent les propositions de niveaux a 770keV et 989,5keV [9/2 (505)]. Un tres bon accord est trouve pour de nombreux niveaux, avec les mesures de 237Np(d,d'). Les rayonnements gamma de 737,27+-0,05keV, 739,5keV et 801,90+-0,05keV confirment les niveaux 3/2, 5/2 et 7/2 de la bande [3/2 (651)] mentionnes par A. Bohr et Mottelson. De plus les niveaux a 887,65keV et 922,25keV sont mis en evidence
