Validation of the mathematical model of transient processes in a NPP loop

Description

Unlike the conventional approach the model proposed presents the NPP loop components by an equivalent circular cross-section channel. The length of it is equal to the length of the NPP loop section under consideration; it offers the real transport delay in propagation of the temperature perturbation over the loop to be taken into account. The model describes the transients in an NPP loop and gives the results accurate enough to adapt the model readily to the various sets of components in an NPP loop by changing the boundary conditions. The calculation errors of coolant parameters have been determined and recommendations are given on the use of the expression obtained for determination of the regulating valve drag coefficient in dynamics
