Description

Approximate expressions for the attenuation constant and the mean value of the albedo in the case of quasi-asymptotic attenuation of thermal neutron flux on the inside walls of a moderator with an infinite cylindrical cavity have been obtained. A table for the theoretically expected attenuation constants, the mean value of the albedo, the diffusion coefficients for various cylindrical systems is presented as well
