Mode conversion and propagation of fast wave in tokamak ICRF heating
Description
Paying attention to the physical processes during mode conversion, a modified form of fast wave approximation, the complete fast wave approximation, is derived. Numerical results are satisfactorily consistent with that from high order differential equations describing the corresponding physical processes, especially for the weak-damping cases (i. e. for κ// ≅ 0). Some examples are discussed for second harmonic heating as well as the minority heating
