Investigation of stability of electromagnetic calorimeter RAMPEhKS

Description

The short- and long-term stability of the electromagnetic calorimeter within the RAMPEhKS setup in the accelerator arranged at the Institute for High Energy Physics has been investigated, the results are presented. Brief descriptions of the experimental setup, calorimeter, and monitoring system of the calorimeter are provided. A procedure for measuring the stability is described, and the results of these measurements are presented. The necessity to study the stability has been dictated by the weakness of the effect in measuring the single-spin asymmetry during hadron production in the inclusive reaction π- + p↑ (↓) → h + X at energies of 40 and 70 GeV/c

Представлены результаты измерений кратковременной и долговременной стабильности аппаратуры электромагнитного калориметра установки РАМПЭКС на ускорителе ИФВЭ. Дается краткое описание установки, калориметра и мониторирующей системы калориметра. Описана процедура измерения стабильности и представлены экспериментальные данные. Исследование стабильности продиктовано малостью эффекта при измерении односпиновой асимметрии при образовании адронов в инклюзивной реакции π- + р↑ (↓) → h + X при энергиях 40 и 70 ГэВ/с
