Influence of experimental condition on water leaching degree of radionuclides in the soils of the exclusion zone

  • 1. Nauchno-Proizvodstvennoe Ob''edinenie Pripyat', Chernobyl (Ukraine)

Description

The method of the radionuclides leaching in static, dynamic and extremal experimental conditions of lixiviation was devised and described. Quantity of soluble radionuclide forms are increased in a number of experimental conditions: static, extremal, dynamic. Quantity of radionuclides leached in static and dynamic conditions is increased in the row: 144 Ce, 137 Cs, 106 Ru, 90 Sr. Inversion in this row is observed when water-steam leached in Sokslet apparatus: 144 Ce, 106 Ru, 137 Cs, 90 Sr. Variety in topography and radionuclide forms of being in the matrix resulted in isotopes 134 Cs and 137 Cs fractionation observed during leaching processes. 134 Cs accessibility to be included into biogeochemical chains is higher than that of 137 Cs
