Description
CoIII, SmIII, GdIII, DyIII, CoII and CrIII complexes of tridentate Shiff base derived from the condensation of o-aminophenl and β-naphthylglyoxal have been prepared and studied by absorption and infrared spectroscopy. The stoichiometry of the complexes is established by spectrophotometric methods and elemental analysis. The bindings of the functional groups of the ligand to metal on complexation have been confirmed by infrared spectral study. (author)
