Description
The results of investigating the high-temperature superconducting ceramics, Y-Ba-Cu-O system, synthesized using shock-wave treatment methods, are reported. Good results were obtained using both initial oxides and barium carbonate as well as powders containing high-temperature superconducting phase. The shock-wave treatment results in the detective lattices in compacts while subsequent thermal treatment in oxygen environment permits to obtain specimens with Tc = 90-92 K. Transition into the superconducting phase was detected by measuring resistance and magnetic susceptibility. The high energy rate compaction does not destroy the high temperature superconducting phase in initial powders and permits to obtain ceramics-metal composites having different geometries
